00:00:00hello everyone and welcome back this is day two of my getting comfortable in front of the camera challenge where I try to just every day film something and post it to YouTube the idea behind this obviously is to get me a little bit more
00:00:14comfortable speaking in front of the camera but I also at some point want to allow my personality to come out um because I think I'm pretty funny most days but a lot of that doesn't come out in front of the camera because I get
00:00:26nervous or for whatever reason I think people are going to laugh at me when I post this on YouTube what I realized is that really not a lot of people care when you're first starting out with the channel so I just need to blast it out
00:00:37there and see what happens what I do want to say is that in day one of my experiment yesterday I really do appreciate all the comments that I got I didn't get a lot of views on that video but I did receive a more comments on
00:00:51that video than I have in the past year or so on most of my videos so I just really appreciate everybody's support and encouragement as I go through this 30-day Channel so thanks everyone in this video I just wanted to quickly say
00:01:04that um my wife and I are in a very fortunate place we were able to buy a house back in May so that's taken up quite a bit of my time recently but it has also created some more space that I can use for my electronics lab and I
00:01:19just wanted to go over some of the features of that really quickly here before we owned a house I was using this here uh workbench as my primary desk I work at home and now I actually have a desk that's separate that I can use for
00:01:33my work and I can actually put this workbench to use as a an Electronics lab and I've actually added some features to that so I added the ring light here that you can see and that actually works um I'm pretty excited about that because
00:01:48that'll allow me to attach a camera uh that faces down towards the workbench so you can see when I'm doing uh soldering or any of the other electronic work that you've seen me do on this channel um you can see here that I have my
00:02:02soldering station and the hot air gun um my holding apparatus I have the Prototype of the coin bot right here so uh in in a future video you'll be seeing me putting that together a little more closely which is good here you have the
00:02:18electronic guts of the coin bot pretty excited about that that's going to require a lot of soldering coming up so um I hope you'll stay tuned and and watch me go through that process you know and I have some wire U hard drive
00:02:31here and my my power supply my bench power supply so I'm kind of excited about that the other thing that I've already filmed uh footage for is me putting all of this together really what this is is just a um a desk monitor
00:02:46stand that attaches to the back of the bench here it's just a pole that sticks up and I attached multiple monitor stands to that and I've adapted these so that they can fit the laptop I can get that up off the bench and I can can
00:03:00actually do some computer work over here and program the Raspberry Pi that is the brains of the coin bot at this you know at this point and then I have this ring light which uh again this used to be a monitor stand but I've created an
00:03:15adapter uh with with my 3D printer so that uh I can actually connect this ring light and the camera mount to this monitor stand if you want to see more details about how I created that just leave a comment down below and could
00:03:30actually show more footage of that during this 30-day challenge so that'd be great the other thing that I wanted to talk about I have footage of this too is creating this little laptop stand here that adapts to the monitor stand I
00:03:41was pretty happy about that as well um this this was actually too big to fit on my the bed of my 3D printer but I was able to create a single part that I could print twice and they connect together so I was pretty proud of that
00:03:55design they're just printed in different colors I use the the orange and the blue that are the the colors for the coin bot logo um so I was pretty happy with the way that turned out if you have ideas or suggestions about the direction that
00:04:09you'd like this channel to go if you have questions about my background for example or if you have feedback about how I'm doing in these videos about how my presentation skills are either devolving or evolving um I I'd like to
00:04:24hear that from you I really do want to make these videos more entertaining and again I'll let my personality out a little bit more so if you have ways that I can do that um or if you you see things that I'm doing that I can improve
00:04:37upon please leave a comment down below I really appreciate it in the last video I noticed that the audio was one of the major stumbling blocks for me so I'm actually wearing a lav mic today so hopefully the audio is a little bit
00:04:48better in this one you can let me know what you think all right I think that's enough for this video thanks everyone that's my two cents for now have a great day
