00:00:00in this video I thought I would make a couple of quick upgrades to my electronics lab here you can see in the background that I've already upgraded the background of my screens to be a little bit more on brand so that's kind
00:00:12of fun and the other thing I did was separate the two screens uh in Windows 10 so that the the two monitors are now extended the desktop is extended across the two monitors before it was duplicating and now I'll be able to
00:00:27watch uh the overhead camera here on the monitor the large monitor while I'm doing work on the laptop itself the other thing I wanted to accomplish during this video was to attach a new USBC cable to the USB hub that's
00:00:41attached to the laptop and run that up to the ring light camera mount so that I can have that cable attached permanently previously I was using a data cable that I had to actually keep pulling out and swapping into my video editing station
00:00:57so that I could transfer the footage from my camera over to that workstation and then bring it back here every time I wanted to film something on the workbench so the other thing that I did when I was running those cables was to
00:01:08run a micro USB cable to the back of the USB hub because that's how it's powered and I can run that back down to a power strip that I have behind my electronics lab here that has USB power so the last thing to do here is to plug my personal
00:01:25phone into the camera mount and see if that's all working now so that worked pretty well and now that I have my monitors extended in Windows 10 you can see that both are showing different things on the left on the main monitor
00:01:39here I'm going to be able to show that overhead camera so I can actually see what I'm doing on the workbench and record it and in the laptop itself I'll be able to do programming or other things that I'm trying to show you while
00:01:51I'm making videos so this whole setup should make my life a whole lot easier today is day 10 of a 30-day challenge I gave myself to post a video to YouTube Every Day in the month of September and I just wanted to give a quick shout out
00:02:04to Paul Crush who recommended that I buy pre-crimped cables so that I can finish the wiring harness on my coin bot without having to do all that manual labor myself I was not aware that you could buy them that way but when I
00:02:17looked it up on Amazon you can indeed so I actually just that just saved me so much labor and I'm really grateful for comments like that if anyone else has comments like that or suggestions about how to make these videos better or
00:02:29things that I can do to improve my efficiency while building the robot please don't hesitate to leave a comment down below and I think that's enough for this video for now that's my two cents thanks for watching everyone and have a
00:02:31great day
